PSA: MagSafe accessories might leave imprints on your new FineWoven iPhone case
The new FineWoven case for the Apple iPhone 15 may be durable, but it is still vulnerable to imprints from MagSafe accessories.
According to the product description, the high-quality FineWoven case “is made to be durable” and “may show wear over time”. In addition, “interaction with MagSafe accessories will leave slight imprints.”
For users who are concerned about having slight imprints on their new FineWoven cases, Apple recommends that they use the silicone or clear case. Another alternative is to opt for a darker tone where the imprint might not be as obvious.
If this sounds familiar, you’re right. The same disclaimer was published in 2020 when Apple introduced MagSafe charging for the iPhone 12.
Apple is replacing leather across all of its product lines with FineWoven, which is a new textile made from 68% post-consumer recycled content. FineWoven is available on the iPhone MagSafe cases and wallets, a well as the Magnetic Link and Modern Buckle Apple Watch bands.
