The argument appears to have started over Peaty’s lighthearted comment and joke about Greenbank’s long-term partner Luke’s girlfriend, 27-year-old Olympic swimmer Anna Hopkin. However, sources close to Peaty, who is now dating Holly Ramsay, Gordon Ramsay’s daughter, have refuted reports that Hopkin had ever been romantically involved with Peaty in the past.

Who is Anna Hopkin?

Anna Hopkin is a well-known British swimmer. She has been in the news because swimmers Adam Peaty and Luke Greenbank were reportedly involved in an altercation over a playful comment about her.

She was born on 24 April 1996 in Chorley, Lancashire, England. After completing her elementary schooling at St. Michael’s Church of England High School, she attended the University of Bath and the University of Arkansas. Her height is 1.65 meters, or 5 feet, 5 inches.

Currently, Anna Hopkin is in a relationship with British swimmer Luke Greenbank.

She is presently 27 years old.

Her career

At the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Anna Hopkin won a bronze medal in the women’s 4×100-meter freestyle relay.

However, her breakthrough came at the European Championships in Budapest in May 2021, when she won gold in a number of relay competitions, including the women’s 4×100-meter freestyle, women’s 4×100-meter medley, mixed 4×100-meter freestyle, and mixed 4×100-meter medley relays.

Her most memorable professional moment to date was swimming for Britain on a swimming squad at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. There, Anna Hopkin helped lead the mixed 4×100-meter medley relay team to a historic triumph, winning gold and breaking a world record in the process.

She continued to excel in 2023, winning the gold medal in the 50-meter freestyle at the British Swimming Championships. This was her third straight victory in this competition.

In recognition of her efforts, Anna Hopkin was named a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2022 New Year’s Honours.
