England will be out to maintain their perfect start to the Euro 2024 qualifiers as they travel to face Ukraine this weekend, live on talkSPORT.

The Three Lions have won all four of their games in Group C so far, scoring 15 goals and only conceding one across those fixtures.

Gareth Southgate’s side now begin the latest international break in hopes of extending their lead at the top of the group.

Ukraine sit in second and three points above Italy, looking to end England’s streak and boost their own hopes of securing a place at Euro 2024.

Ukraine vs England: What has been said? 

Raheem Sterling was left out of England’s squad for the international break despite hitting form in the Premier League with Chelsea. 

Explaining the decision, Southgate said: “We were really pleased with the group.

“To bring Raheem back in we’d have to leave someone else out and on the back of three games I didn’t think that anybody in this group of attacking players warrant being left out.

“It’s really good to see Raheem start the season so well. He looks in good condition, he looks hungry and is obviously an important player for us and has been an important player for us but in those attacking areas behind the nine we have a lot of competition for places.

“All of those players have started the season well and the group that are with us have certainly done well in recent games.

“It’s a difficult call and Raheem’s not particularly happy about it, but I understand that because he’s an important player for us and I’m convinced that he’s going to have an excellent season with Chelsea, there’s no doubt about that.”

• Bukayo Saka has been involved in nine goals in his last nine England appearances (7 goals, 2 assists), scoring a hat-trick against North Macedonia last time out. The Three Lions have won all eight games when Saka has scored and haven’t lost a game when an Arsenal player has scored since Francis Jeffers netted in a 3-1 defeat versus Australia in February 2003 (W24 D2 since).
