Catholic Priest stirs reactions as he borrows a line from Skepta and Portable’s hit song while preaching in church (Video)

A Catholic Priest identified as Bishop Godfrey Igwebuike has left many talking after borrowing a line from secular singers, Portable and Skepta’s song.

It is no longer news that the duo, who made headlines after they linked up last year, released a song, Tony Montana, which has become an instant hit among music lovers.

In a viral clip from late actor, Junior Pope’s burial mass in his hometown of Ukehe, Enugu State, Bishop Onah Godfrey was seen borrowing a line from the singers while preaching.

He said in the clip, “We don’t know also whether his account balance was as long as the letters of Shokolobangoshay”.

The video has left many applauding the clergyman for being up to date with secular music, while others pointed out how the line ‘Shokolokobangoshe”, is a line that has been in existence before the singers.

Kemi Filani reported in December, last year that Portable formed an alias with British rapper, Skepta and they attended the British Fashion Award in London. He had even run into Tiwa Savãge and Damson Idris at the event.

Following the link up, Portable announced that he now charges 10k in dollars for featuring in both shows, music videos, and skits, noting how he is a child of grace.

Since his entrance into the industry, there is no doubt that the singer carries a unique grace despite his series of controversies. Last year, Portable received an award from the United States as the best new act of the year.

Appreciating the organizers of the award, he stated that receiving such recognition is proof that he is doing something right. He also expressed gratitude to his team and fans as he teased his forthcoming album.

Months back, he was left overwhelmed after getting recognized by American rapper, Rick Ross. The award-winning artist had via his social media page given a shout-out to African artists for their contribution to the industry and had mentioned Portable’s name, which left the singer overjoyed.
